As part of the Corona Capital Music Festival, the Mexican brewery commissioned Mathias Hovgaard to direct the commercial for the Mexico City event. Featuring will.i.am as the main act, the singer/songwriter was taken aback by the rising local band, The Blenders, performing right in front of him, though not exactly from inside the building: The band was suspended in mid-air outside the skyscraper 100 meters above the ground, with fireworks and smoke included as if performing on a festival stage already.
Canadian agency Anomaly and production house Sequoia Content trusted The Lift to execute this huge production challenge in Mexico City, that included the construction of an aerial platform to get the band to perform live in mid-air and deploying 25 cameras to capture the action from helicopters and drones.
